The Sprite Media Player is compatible with USB flash drives, including all versions of USB 3. External hard drives which use USB to provide power to the drive are not compatible with the Media Player.

File System

Whether you use USB or SD card, your storage device will need to be formatted using the exFAT, FAT32, or NTFS file systems. These are the most common file system types for storage devices.

If your storage device uses a different format, it should be possible to re-format the device to work properly.
